In this course, participants will examine the course performance descriptors, comparing how each descriptor moves through A-E grades and using them to make determinations about sample student responses. We then explore approaches to writing questions or prompts that will elicit responses of these types from students, including those for formal examinations and formative assessments.
Participants will leave this course empowered to make assessment decisions that best suit their school. They will also be given a sample class test and investigation task that serve of examples of the assessment design techniques explored in this course.
